If you could invent something....

If you could invent something what would it be, it has to be something totally kewl!!

For me, I'd like to invent a TV that instead of Airing shows, it opens up a portal into the "make believe" world you're watching.

Say you're watching a cooking show, instead of just watching, wondering if what they're cooking is good, you just "go right in" & taste what they made, or if you want you can humiliate the cook & say directly to his face, you're cooking's awful! lol! ;D ;D ;D

But my idea still needs fine tuning though, 'cause say you're watching a re-run of Star Trek then you accidentally "came in" the show in a scene where the Camera shows the "view" outside the ship? Sucks to you there's no air in space!!!

I wanna make a VR band simulator. Whatever song your listening too, it puts you on stage with them while its playin, so you rock out with them. Note: do not use while playing anything Disney related. It will kill you.

A compact free energy machine.
A device that turns trash into food.
Airplanes that run off air pollution.
Boats that run off water pollution.
Robotics that rival the complexity of fiction such as Star Wars.
Speaking of, spaceships and hyperdrive engines.
Gravity generators.

That's just to start.

How about a machine that let's you go back in time to relive the past but can't circumvent...

But seriously, how about inventing a data storage medium that will last til eternity or atleast for thousands of years.

Take the Civilizations of the past such as the Egyptians, they used stone heiroglyphs to record their culture, sure it's difficult for us to understand their writing but still you have to admit, they were lucky to have stumbled upon something that recorded things that mattered to them most. Also, we were fortunate enough to have discovered the Rosetta Stone, otherwise we'd still be baffled by their strange stone glyphs.

 

I'd say some sort of virtual machine, where you can imagine any world with anything, and you would be in it. Wouldn't that be cool?

 

Portable jet pack with wings, so I could fly. That would rock my world! (no, really)

I would create a machine that let's you rewind time and do things over. That would be so awesome.

 

If you change even just a little insignificant thing in the past it can have an effect on what things are now.

I know they're just movies but consider the concepts presented by the movies THE TIME MACHINE, BACK TO THE FUTURE & THE BUTTERFLY EFFECT. All say that tampering with time is wrong.

Another film, the Langolears (I hope I spelt that correctly) say that going back in time is impossible because time "eats" the past meaning there's nothing to go back to.

 

I'd invent a State Save Sytem, or something like that.

Or the time I accidentally hit the reset button on the mac at work while the guy who knows the pass word was out for an hour...

This idea's much better 'cause you can change something that happened in only a small fraction of time. SO AS, you only limit your "save state" to mistakes done, say only for a minute or so, that way, you only affect things, that happened in a not so significant time frame thus minimizing your action's effect on reality.

i don't think time travel works like that, i think if you change somthing it won't do anything as you would of already gone back and done it. its complicated to explain it so i won't go on but if you get me you'll understand.

also alot of things would not make a difference if you could and did change it, for example if you went back and stoped your parents having you, you would of not existed to go back and stop it so... well i don't know what happens from there as i've not gone back in time but if you understand you'll get my point

there are so many paradox thingys i can think of but i won't talk about it as this thread is about inventions

it would be nice to invent something that stoped your balls getting sweaty and sticking to your leg
