Yes but it isnt the prescence of voice acting, In grandia nearly every cutscene has voice acting, with very nice 3d environments. Its a ps1 game. It really Isnt very possible.
Disgea didnt have that much voice acting, and the 3d wasnt that good.

There's a rumour on re-releasing Grandia on DS though it was two years ago. Since no announcement up to this year about a port, this game has a pretty slim chance going in ds.

plenty of DS games have both voice acting and 3D

Yes but the level of detail for 3d in grandia,
and the sheer AMOUNT of voice acting. the fact thiat it has voice acting is not my point.
Also, was it not 2 or 3 discs long?

It would be the first ds to have 3-4 cartridges in one game. :D

Would be the most expensive DS game too

I don't think that's even possible. I mean, how would the cart-shifting work?
Doesn't any game freeze when the cart is pulled off?

I think its possible for DSi...
I heard you can switch carts when the DSi is on,I think its called hot-swapping or something...

"Grandia" is such an average Game in my opinion. The Sequel also. i DON`T think the DS need conversions like this... :(

It really makes sense to re-release a "Front Mission" or "Chrono Trigger" for example. Awesome Games. It`s a great chance for the next generation Gamers to check out some really great Snes Games, potentially with far better gfx and sound. maaaaaan, but Grandia???

PSX games cannot be ported to DS, there is far too much data involved quite apart from anything else.

disgea was very small scale with sprites and a handful of 3d environments.

They could just re-do it like resident evil ds.

It wasn't a straight port-just 'remade' for the ds format.

    Same with super mario 64.

Straight ports, unless supported in size, could just be re-made to be supported.

Heck-even leave out content if they must...

That's what they did with dead rising chop til you drop-which is still an awsome game :)
