I downloaded the new Professer Layton from here earlier and half way through putting it on my flash card I got an error, since then whenever I plug my memory card in my computer says there's nothing on it even though all my stuff is still on it when I put it in my DS. How do I fix it?

What was the error? It does sound like you might have worn the cart out, but are you able to load what is showing on the card when placed into the flashcart in the NDS?

When copying it to the memory card, I got an error saying it couldn't read the source file or something like that.
I've since restarted my computer and since then I can't even get it to recognise my memory card, it just says the device has malfunctioned and Windows doesn't recognise it. Could it possibly be just the memory card reader that's broken?

I tried playing Professor Layton because my flash card said it was on there, but I got a black screen after inputting my name.

And I haven't had the flash card long...

What is the name of the cart? And did you make sure you had the latest firmware?

If you specify your problem well, use proper English and make sure that you've read the common issues and search for similar problems, I'm sure someone will answer your question eventually. :D Each of us has a life to live and we can't answer the same question over and over again or help someone if they didn't make their problems clear.

Or you can try your luck on RomU's IRC, but I don't really recommend you to go there...

Why would anyone look on the second page to help though?

    and why not try IRC?

Because it's not made for asking help and the channel isn't very active.

Your other question was answered, in the first post :)

Have you tried a different MicroSD card yet? It may have failed. You don't have to try a big expensive one, just a small one to test it out.

And as I pointed out, I haven't had it long enough for it to be worn out. And no I haven't tried another card, if I had money to spend, I wouldn't be on a rom site, would I?

The only other MicroSD card I have is my mum's, so I'm not risking that.

    Re: What do I do...

Well, that's the first thing you would need to test. Your computer won't recognize the MicroSD, so either the MicroSD has failed or the reader has.

Your lack of money or ability to get another card doesn't change the possible reasons for the errors you are getting.
