i think i fucked up bad.........................................................

here's my problem(not a tech problem, YAY!)... i bought 2 $100 american express gift cards hoping to use them online...well...here's the thing...the CSC is different on it from the debit/credit cards by american express...instead of the 4 digits above the card number, it's he last 3 digits on the back...so here's where the problem comes in...whenever i try to use it online, it requires 4 digits, or it tells me it's wrong without even attempting to process it...so i put the 4 above the card number for the CSC(which is incorrect...) and it fails to process T_T i have tried to use it on 8 SITES!!!! only one of which used paypal, and one used amazon checkout T_T so how the hell can i use these damn cards online?!?!?!?!?!

 

Use it to buy other cards.

 

Make sure you have the right brand. My VISA card has a three digit CVV on the back next to the signature line. I think it's the same for Mastercard and Discover as well. American Express uses the 4 digit on the front.

So, double check it's an actual American Express and not one of the others. Because I don't think American Express ever uses a 3 digit code on the back, it's always 4 digits on the front.


(Disclaimer: I don't own an American Express. I'm just talking through what I've seen before).

 

don't ya think i tried that?... i went to buy prepaid cards, and EVERY store told me it's "load with cash only" and i'm like, "well fuck you to..."

Well... beats me. Maybe this particular prepaid card can't be used for online purchases?

I never did like American Express anyway.


PS. Even if there is only 13 cents, you should black out the number.
