I read the common issues, searched all over, still need help. games wont work

I bought a flash card for the NDS, the box and labels all say r4+ I have not found anything online about such a card existing, so i obviously got a knock of an N card designed to look like the r4, it has the NDS card (internal memory, no spot for a micro sd card, and usb writer that goes in gba slot and n-card clone firmware/software works on it) i can not get many games to play, i have tried selecting different save types and all i get on most is a white screen, i can get phoenix wright ace attorney to show the capcom logo screen, then the screens go blank. any ideas? do i have to use any type of patcher or trimmer on these? sorry if this has been posted or asked already but i have searched first and have not found anything. oh, almost forgot, i am running dslinker software, latest version on their websit, usb disk v1.45 (8g) xmenu 2.53. ???

damn, wish i would have seen that post ahead of time. yea that is almost what i got, cept mine is white.... but what i dont understand is i can get some stuff to work, some stuff doesnt. more stuff not working that does. well thanks for the late warning. I didnt do any research, i just happen to be in an area that sold such stuff and figured i would go and buy it. I think i am going to just buy me a real r4

What kind of stuff won't work. If you're talking about ROMS, it happens on and off even on the R4.

 

majority of the roms i try. so far i only got 1 rom working, that was bomberman, the other one i had some success with was phoenix wright i was able to get it to diplay the capcom screen, then go black like maybe a freeze or hangup. any type of homebrew stuff usually works ok, like i can get the menu to come up just fine. its loading the actual rom. I am wondering if its not poor quality memory on the card causing the issue. I have read that the dual white screens is usually an invalid save type, but i cycled through all the save type options and still nothing.
