I've been seeing several local (Filipino) music on Youtube & I would like to download them as MP3s to add to my music library. However, seeing as Youtube videos are FLV files methinks I'd need a video converter for this task. I don't know which ones are good so any input from you guys will be much appreciated So, what I need is a Good FLV video converter that can convert to several video formats as well as turn an FLV video into an MP3 Audio file. Also, I'd like to ask a very dumb question (it's kinda dumb seeing as I'm not that knowledgeable in the matter), I want to give my friends/relatives copies of certain songs they like from my audio library that I've ripped from my own audio CDs, the problem is, some of them don't use PCs & only listen to music on CD/DVD Players. So my question is, if I am to burn them copies of songs in my library must I convert the MP3 Files to some other format first? And to what format should I convert them to? Also I'm guessing I might need a converter for this task too eh? So could you include that to your converter suggestions please?
http://roomp3.com/index.html all the music i listen to on youtube i just type in the name here and download it
Honestly I would suggest you don't. FLV is absolute shit in quality terms. to make audio cds you need to convert, yes. Just use a burning program that can make audio cds and it will handle it for you. Ostiensibly its wav files, but not a normal wav.
@sylar1000 & 65432: Thanks guys, I'll try those out @loony: Thanks for the bit about any burning tool being capable to convert the files by themselves. So say I use Nero's "Burn an Audio CD" option it will do the job needed, yes? And about converting FLV files to get the audio producing poor quality audio. Is it poor as in God awful poor or poor as in not noticeable to the un-initiated? If it's the later I wouldn't mind as some of the videos I found were poor quality rips to begin with (VHS Quality as the uploaders just converted copies they had back in the day. And these are very hard to find indeed. Even on torrent sites I couldn't find them. Also, when I used LimeWire about two years ago it too didn't give any results, not that LimeWire is trustworthy to begin with anyway.
You may use http://www.dvdvideosoft.com/products/dvd/Free-YouTube-to-MP3-Converter.htm It will download YouTube video's directly to MP3 files
I would exect god-awful poor to be honest. Yes nero will do it, alternatively so will winamp (though it will only burn at 1x unless you get pro).
the ones before are good... try Vdownloader, it have lots of video optional formats (avi,mpg,dvd,3gp,mp4) and mp3 format too
@sylar1000: Your suggestion's pretty cool It kinda feels like shunyweb's online flashcart converter page @65432: the site you gave me requires me to register though. @YoshiFlip & meganova: both of you suggested downloadable applications, thanks I'll definitely try both of them out & see which is easier to understand/use. @super_pastafari32: do you have a link to it I can check out?
