I need help.

It's about my Mum. She's as addicted, if not more addicted to the internet then me. She usually wakes up at 2:30PM, starts work at 3PM, finishes at 11PM, comes back home, baths, and then straight away kicks me out of the computer (Quite literally) and starts to use it. She stops around 6AM or so. Today she went too far. She wakes up at 3PM, reaches work at 3:30PM, blames ME that I made her late, comes back and uses the computer all the way to 1PM. I'm serious. She's been awake for almost 24 Hours. And when I persuaded her to get some rest so she can go to work, she threatened me about removing my computer account and banning me from the internet. I gave her some advice, but "shut the hell up, you're just a kid. What would you know?".

I just need her in a ready condition for her operation which is sometime this week or next week. She can't listen to me and just continuously ruins her body. She's gaining access weight, 10kg in fact. All she ever does online is sit in the dark watching korean and japanese dramas from a website which I shall not mention. I really need help on what I can do.

 

Knowing your circumstances, I'd say to cut out the internet is a great option, you'd save money and kill her internet habbit.

hypnos is right. Cut the internet. One of the ways my parents had themselves quit is by cutting the internet off for a week.
Of course, they still go on, but less.
If you know how to deactivate it, do it yourself.
Of course, that'd mean you'd sacrifice your internet time.. and it's a big risk...
But hey, go online when she's at work .

what you COULD do is make your account locked then just use that special command that auto loggs you out then create a guest account that has no access to the internet whatsoever.

Anything PC related, she'll go to me for help. Anything internet related, she'll call customer service. And note, I'm forced to comply.

 

if you've got no authority for an internet problem, make a computer problem.

I'm sure one of these guys is a coder that could tell ya just what to do, far as that goes.

I could probably make a fake virus that requires a special code before you can access the PC. you can act as though it's real.

This is my idea. Open your CPU, just plug out the fan "wire" and tell your mom the computer is spoil. It works for my brother last time when he is addicted to Wow ;D

well there is one trick I do all the time. you see I access the internet control something forgot the name haven't done it in awhile. then I type the URL's of all the places my dad visits and put a redirection code to rickroll. that was my april fool's joke last year. Unfortunately I had to default the control right after. If you want I can search for that video again and I can link it for you

I got an idea that would work but it could backfire ;D Tell your mom to find a hobby that requires her to keep away from the computer or tell your mom that she is addicted to the computer and needs professional help.
