Mostly for gaming. Nothing TOO heavy - nancy drew titles for my siblings, assassins creed, cod and hopefully skyrim for me. I DO intensely use photoshop and performace is a big thing for me. I'm torn between these two on my current budget. :p

in all honesty, you're restricting yourself performance wise if you get a laptop. Laptops tend to only have one hard disk and max out at 4 or 8GB ram, and photoshop benefits greatly from multiple hard disks and lots of ram.

Neither of those laptops will play skyrim because they have intel graphics, which are completely shit.

Sigh. I thought that might be the case, but I need a laptop. Im going to move around quite a bit in the near future, and I cant take a desktop with me everywhere I go. I'm also taking some college classes, and although a 17 inch laptop will be a pain to lug around, I need the extra screen space for PS. :B Which, incidentally, is why i picked the cheaper computers. I need a quick solution for now, with possiblity of upgrade in the future.

You're better off just getting a decent laptop and using a console for games, seeing as how you're only interested in casual games like CoD and Skyrim.

Toshiba Sat's have good rep, whilst HP laptops have notoriously bad build quality, so I'd recommend that you get the Tosh Sat.
4GB ram should be just fine for running things like firefox, word, and photoshop.

That is probably my plan anyway. I just need something to satisfy my casual gaming needs while I wait to upgrade to a console, or a mega super ultra shark hardware computer once i settle down. XD
