you're not going to find many games that can run on that graphics chip. Your processor is also a bit slow for the newest games.

You're lucky as i am an expert on good PC games. (Not showing off).

Based on your spec,I presume you are not a graphics fanatics. If you want new game with crazy graphics, Sorry.

Well actually, you can run Half-Life 2 and its Episodes. You can as well run Portal.

You can run a lot of great RTS ranging from the old to not too old one.
Old(but better): Age of Empires 2, Warcraft 3( must buy the expansion as well), General:Zero Hours, Homeworld, Rise of Nations.
Not too : Company of Heroes, Dawn of War and its expansion Dark Crusade, Rome Total War, Homeworld 2.

Now empire building game: Civilization 4, Sid Meir's Alpha Centauri (old), Sins of Solar Empire( which is RTS+empire building)

FPS(Old): Half-Life, System shock 2 and The Greatest PC game ever DEUS EX. (FPS+RPG+ STEALTH)
    FPS(not too old): Doom 3, HL 2.

RPG(old): Fallout 1&2(deeper than 3), Baldur's Gate 2: Shadow of Amn( best Bioware's RPG), Star Wars: Knights of The Old Republic( better than Mass Effect) and The Best RPG on PC(story wise)...Planescape:Torment..(you play as an immortal seeking death!!!)
RPG(not too old): Perhaps you can run Oblivion but don't put you hope too high.

Dungeon-crawling: Diablo 2 and its expansion (old but awesome).
    Not too old: Titan Quest
New: Torchlight (yes new but low requirements and has a nice cell-shaded art style)
(ps: none can match Diablo 2 so far.)

And the Inevitable.... X-COM:UFO DEFENSE/ENEMY UNKNOWN...along with DEUS EX...the two best PC game ever...

First Tips: Do Not hope anything spectacular from the graphics. Its year 2000.

Second:Do not Approach it as an FPS like Quake of Half-Life. You can't go shooting blindly. Before firing a shot, think first. Think and look a other possibilities on how to take an enemy down. Yes even taking down an enemy is so awesome in that game.
When firing enemy, make sure the reticule becomes the smallest first. The smaller the reticule, the more accurate your shot is.
When trying to accomplish an objective, take a look at other areas. Explore for item crates, TNT crates or alternative routes such as ventilation duct. Try to open cupboards, decorations or hack into computers to find additional story or information. Do not forget to look at "datacube" for computer or security console password.
The security console is usually located on a wall. Use it to disable cameras or turrets. If your "computers" skill is high, you can even set the cameras and turrets against your enemies.
When trying to open a door. Look at the door strength and lock strength. If both are Infinite, that means you must find a nanokey unique to the door. If not infinite, you can either blast it with explosive or lock pick it.

His specs are alot like mine, and I can play many games.
Sure, not many new games. The best I can do is Oblivion on crap settings :p

    life-sucks, I recommend these games:

FPS: Battlefield 2 collection OR Halo 1/2 OR Unreal Tournament
RPG: TES III - Morrowind OR Baldur's Gate
Also you can play GTA III, Spore, and the Sims 2
