So my uncle has this frozen Ipod and he asked me for help. Problem is I don´t know much about Ipods, so can somebody help?
Okay, It´s an Ipod zen v +. First thing I do is connect it to my pc. I notice that you charge it this way. Anyways, my pc (windows xp,btw) displays a message. "New hardware was found" or something along those lines. But these are only lies. The device is nowhere to be found on My PC, and the same message shows up like 3 more times. So I grab the Ipod, turn it on, something about "rebuilding library". "Oh great"-I say-"It was low on battery". But as this screen clears up, I get a song screen and nothing happens. It is now frozen.

I reset it with a paper clip -I can´t turn it off- and it all repeats! I try to make it turn off by disconnecting it. It works. I connect it again and what I assume is the little charging icon appears in a corner. Some hours later the battery is almost charged, so I decide to try it out. The rule of funny dictates
I fail again. The battery is low again and I just connected the USB cable again, but I don´t see how is this time around gonna be any different. Any help is appreciated.

Sorry, it´s a Creative Zen. My uncle was probably confused. As I were.

Yeah, you laughed at him, I'm laughing at you. If it's a ZEN V+, then it's Creative's, not Apple's.

Mine does that some times, I have a Creative ZEN 8GB. I plug it in, put some songs in it and let it charge. Then, the tow arrows that indicate if it's synchronising or not. If the two arrows are moving, then DON'T remove it. If they're moving, then it's because data is being transferred to it. Only remove it when they've stopped moving.

Mine keeps the arrows moving, they don't stop. I reset it with a paper clip, then turn it on, and everything's fine. Also, I rarely charge it through my PC. Creative has a special charger (sold separately) that charges your ZEN (obviously). I don't know if it exists for your player, but try and read the instructions (that's where I found about my charger). OR, you can try and send it to Creative. :)
