I have my Supercard dstwo and 3DS XL. I am too scared to sort it out myself.

I have in my possession a 3DS XL and Supercard dstwo. I want to get help so I don't mess about.

I have not updated my 3DS XL. It's not even connected to the internet yet. I assume that is my first step? To update?

The Supercard dstwo came with a few games. They state on their website cards have been "pre-flashed and upgraded and ready to use,no flashing and upgrade are necessary." How can I tell that this is true?

 

First step: DO NOT UPDATE THE 3DS XL.

Once that's covered, it's easy as drag-and-drop ROMs to your MicroSD for the Supercard and you can start playing.
As for the pre-flashed thing, there's no harm in running this. Instructions are as follows:

Once that's done, all good.
You can update your 3DS if you want, but it's not necessary.

 

The link is broken for me. I assume you mean there's no harm in updating the firmware for the Supercard dstwo, even if it has already been updated? And then afterwards I can update the 3DS XL to the latest firmware?
