I recently made a check to see if with the adaptors my video wires were sufficient in lengths to reach my desktop PC, which they are, now i remember seeing a guy on YT with dazzle capture device somehow re routing so to speak the video signal from his PC back to the TV (now a very difficult case on my end since i am 6 OS's since i last found the vid), can it be done? or it was just a clever set up?
Outputting to TV is definitely possible and doesn't usually need a capture device to do it (in fact doing it via a capture device can make it more complicated). Most graphics cards have a TV out jack or a HDMI port for connecting a TV as a display device.
i forgot to add mine is an SD tv, i havent had the chance to move to HD TV, my usual thing is connecting the wii wirtes to the PC, then the device to the PC, the PC shows the image, i've been suggested the use of splitter cables to output simultaneously the signal to the TV
