I don't like my tutorials open to the public, any chance of that being blocked or restricted to romu members?
I may be asking for much but also for user that have been here for more than 1 year?
    Any of these possible?

Any chance of you being less of a, you know...dick.
What have I ever done to you.
Please allow a mod to answer this.

It'd have to be in a forum that's blocked off to the public. There's really nothing you can do. My tutuorial is in public domain. I made it to help everyone so that I wouldn't get flooded with PMs like I used to.

    :/
That's too bad, I guess I have to keep up with those people's dumb e-mails.
I really would like a mods input though...

I used to have an SMF forum of my own before we went to iBP.

That was the latest update too and I don't think you could hide individual threads. Just forums and sub-forums.

Your tutorials are pretty much common knowledge, with literally thousands of similar ones out there. I don't see why they shouldn't be available to the public.

    i realize that...
well, the dumb e-mails mainly are pouring in 3x a day, and im assuming they are not from members

You can hide your email address in your profile. As far as I am aware the forum itself is only visible to members.

Why would you want to keep such valuable information for yourself :p

Don't you know it's better to give than to receive :p

Also, to this day I'm still puzzled as to why the body of this tutorial has disappeared:

I can re-write it though, but it will probably be worded differently as I originally wrote it.

    EDIT:

I do have an inkling though & it probably has to do with the fact that the ROM image of the FDS BIOS is a protected "software" under the ESA's jurisdiction.

it was mainly because of people sending me dumb e-mails, but it was fixed...
    FDS?...

FDS = Famicom Disk System games.

what's the difference between the original and this?

    Not a disc, a diskette.

    The difference?

    EDIT:

So OK, I managed to put in a new content for the tutorial but it's very minimalist as I can not put up links for the FDS BIOS files but hopefully people can find those for themselves.

EDIT: Reply to loony's post below:

    Yeouch!

Other threads got affected by it too? That's too bad.

My guess is it was made before we converted the forum to UTF-8, quite a lot of topics lost content/had it turned to blocks in the conversion
