Yes there is a way actually. It's a beautiful thing called Emulation. Now Emulation basically creates (emulates) a PS2, N64, PSX, Arcade etc. on your PC in which you can then get games (roms) to play as if you had the console yourself. Now PS2 and other consoles in that gen and over are hard to configure, but just do a little googling and you should be just fine.

    Use an emulator then.
There's an emulator for ps2 but it's not working perfectly...
after that..you can download the iso using torrents... :)

Programming emulation is one of the hardest to do, so either you buy a console or patiently wait for the final output of the emulators you need.

up to 64 emulation it's been preety good on the emu front...provided you got a decent pc to run it...but then again, ps1 is easy enough...

After 64 it get's trickier-dreamcast can be done (but needs the right virtual driver) and ps2, while surprisingly good, still needs more time.

Be patient, just enjoy the emulator here from the old console to the new one.

emulators for consoles really lack function and quality. buying the console is a better idea

PS2s are cheap. Go buy the slim one, and get yourself a swap magic or a chip.
Either that, or just buy the games. Most are under $10 now.

slim PS2 is cheap, durable, fast as well after being pished-poshed because of its bad durability, which is just rumors folks.

If you want to play RPGs on PC, you have two options -

either opting for an emulator for PS2, that I'd disagree with, coz' they aren't funtional enough to play them correctly.

The latter is that you can get/but/download some PC RPGs such Final Fantasy 7, Final Fantasy 8 and 9 (coz' they are the only one of their kind on PC, which is kinda sad...) other than them there is the Last Remnant, that has currently fondled me, but requires a good system if you have one... Icewind dale, Baldur's gate and Oblivion are notably some other good RPGs.

FF 9 was not on PC. there's also morrowind (although its commonly known as morrowbug).

Man, if you were here there is a pawn shop with like 8 working ps2s (the big chunky kind) for like 20 dollars each..and they all work fine...one of them even comes with FFX lol, the guy is so dumb he sells things really low...then again chunky ps2s are so outdated, but still it works! =[

that will probity take decades. even now ps2 emulators dont play games right, maybe by the time the ps3 has ended its run games might be half way playable on ps2 emus. but that depends on the programmer and how hard/often they are working on it
