When i hit the download tab of a ds-game i want to download, i got the following message:

'This website (url) can not be opened. Operation aborted'

After upgrading to IE8 this message wasn't shown anymore, but i'm also getting a blank screen...
It comes with the following log:

'message: HTML Parsing Error: Unable to modify the parent container element before the child element is closed (KB927917)
    line: 0
    unit: 0
    Code: 0
    URI: https://www.romulation.org/downloads/get/26678/MzU4OTMyMzA1NjcyNTI4/'

Any idea how to solve this? Because i would really like to start downloading again :)

There are two other threads about this very issue on this page, plus a couple in the Site Support Forum.

Internet Explorer is the problem. Get Firefox and it should work.

I sent you a private message incase you really cannot view thread replies.

Strange enough, yesterday it was fully compatible!

But it seems i just found a way to go around the problem: just copy the url and open it in a new IE-tab, and...
it opens perfectly, the replies, and the downloads

    i can't explain... thanks anyway!

It's an IE bug that we have no idea how to fix, if it's even possible fixing it. Google tells that many people has the same problem.

Honestly, just change your browser, there are three other good alternatives in Firefox, Opera and Safari, there's absolutely no point in staying with internet explorer.

i know, but i'm kinda used to IE now...
probably if there are more serious problems in the future, i'll switch

btw a miracle happened: everything works back like before: no copying in a new tab anymore: everything runs smooth
    don't ask me how i did it, cause i don't know :)

    thanks anyway

Just so you know, Firefox is so customizable that you can make it look and act almost exactly like Internet Explorer. To the point that my two grandmothers and my mother and father don't even know I switched them over to it when I cleaned all their computers. ;)
