I can't open the compressed files for some reason

    I have attempted to download Professor Layton and the diabolical box, and scribblenauts and when I try to uncompress them i get a box that says

    "An error has occured while expanding the file '4163 - Scribblenauts (U)(iND).rar' (Format error).

    Error #17540"

    Any suggestions? I didn't have any problems with Mario Kart DS.

    For one reason all files I get from Europe Server does the same, always have CRC error at 80-90% even if they download fine. I twice checked it. Try USA server instead.

    Your connection may be unstable, try to use a download manager such as Free Download Manager or Flashget to download the files. :)

    CRC error means it was a corrupted download.

    Use a download manager to avoid this. www.flashget.com is a good one.

    also make sure you're using an up to date version of winrar, sometimes they change the algorithm and the old version cant recognise the files.

    Yes,it was even listed in(I think) the "send to" option when I right clicked on a file.So there were traces of it left after using the uninstaller-but Revo finally sorted it out thanks
