I am so new to forums, this is my first! Hello

As this is an introduction and I'm led to believe a certain degree of verbosity and detail would be appreciated, here I go... I am an Australian guy who spends about 8 hours of every week day squinting down a microscope. I make I.V.F. pipettes, which are glass needles, about one tenth the diameter of a human hair, used to inject a single sperm into an egg. Yes, it's as frustrating as it sounds! Gaming has been a hobby for many years and a great way to blow the hassles of a day away.
I am a frustrated guitarist, which means, I have a guitar and amp, and a wife and kids. Guess what? My axe has spent the last ten years in a cupboard!
I love reading sci-fi & fantasy. Stephen Donaldson & Robert Heinlein rock!
In fact, my username was pulled directly from a Heinlein novel because it seemed to fit the way the internet worked. Having found Romulation, it seems somehow inappropriate for this site.
Anyway, I only found this place while looking for info about DS's which I'd bought for my kids and have spent quite some time lurking about, downloading and reading the forums which surprised me with the wit and intelligence (mostly) of the people involved. So I decided it was time to say G'Day.
As I said in my Subject heading, this is my first foray into a forum so I'm not sure what I'm expected to do. I shall post now.. and leave myself to your tender mercies....be gentle..
