I've been doing some research about hypnosis and now I want to take a look at the public opinion. So post in this topic answers to the following questions: 1. Do you believe in hypnotism? 2. Come with arguments. You can discuss each other opinion, but remember: it's a world of opinion freedom!
Well i think it's real, too many criminals happen here with hypnosis as the weapon, really. Kidnapping he touches you and when you look back, just see his eyes and you will unconcious, He phones you and tell you to go to ATM and transfer the money, etc etc.. Man, Indonesia too many kind of criminals.
Um... Is that even possible? I mean, people can only be hypnotized when they want to. Of course, I could be totally wrong.
Hypnosis... I think it's only psychology playing a role here. If the person has weak psychological strength, then s/he can easily be overpowered and succumb to the hypnotizer's will. In fact, the hypno's trick could just be leading questions, playing by emotions, and knowing the person's thoughts through their conversations. Psychiatrists and psychologists use these methods. Regarding the post about the assailants using hypnosis on unbeknownst and oblivious victims, they are just taking advantage of the shock and stress the victims experience during the assault.
I will tell you what hypnosis is. Everyone has been hypnotised like watching television, reading a book or sleeping. The subconsionis mind takes over. The subconsionis mind is a reaction, a signal. If you are good at a sport everything will be a reaction you dont think about it. When you breath you don think about is because your mind knows what to do. Hypnosis is using your subcosionis mind by going into is and changing it
...Right. Revival of the thread: I'm gonna start a new thread on researching hypnotism. Please visit this one.
1. I believe 2. Well, let's see the real meaning of hypnotist. First, hypnotist means we are taking out to surface people's inner conscious, but since most people don't know or cannot control theirs, it's controlled by the doers. Means it's possible to counter it. Second, the purpose of hypnotist in these days are: 1. (Magic) show 2. therapy 3. and crime. The reasons why this crime method is really famous is because: 1. It's harmless, the victim will not struggle. 2. Small risk, the criminal even able to do it in a crowd. 3. The result is better, think this way. Even if the victim doesn't borrow any money. The criminals can ask their credit card's numbers, accounts, or ask them to transfer money to their account.
One can actually be hypnotized if they are in the right state of mind. I have people get hypnotized and do things that they would not have done at any other time what-so-ever...
okay, i tired on two on family members.. followed exactly the steps which the website said to hypnotize someone.. guess what, it was a fail.. like fail fail!
hypnosis is a fact. the thing is that not everyone can be hypnotised only some i dont know the numbers though 1:2, 1:4 maby... but the thing is i dont think you can do everything i the movies. for example if u hypnotised someone and tolk them to kill if its something they wouldnt normanly do their mind rejects it and it doesnt work but small things like saying bark like a dog when i say 'and' things like that work
There is a new show coming in Belguim about this but I think they made a script. That kind of show are trying to make us believe it is real.
I have hypnotized my best friend last weekend. He saw himself as a dolphin (I told him he was a dolphin). LOL
it does work on some people, my friend got hypnotised and she had to pretend she had won the lottery. she said she knew what she was doing but couldnt help it
In my small research of hypnosis and binaural beats(including self tests), I find that the answer is "most likely". Since you can't implant suggestions on a person that's no willing to accept them, you can't force hypnosis on people that don't want to(Like some pervs and other people thinks). Also, you can't make people do things that they don't agree(you can see that comproved on a Mythbusters episode about this myth). Well, I never tried to hypnose someone, but I aleady noted peoples reactions on binaural beats, wuth some funny results no intended for what the specific beat was made to.
