I have a 4 year old PS2 whit a swapmagic 3.something. Everytime I play Persona 4, I have to restart my playstation at least 46 times(yes I have counted). I really hate this, becouse I have almost finished the game. Does anyone has a tip on how to fix this, or is my PS2 just screwed???? Woolie1994
never ever had a problem with my swap magic. 1 do other games play fine, if they don't its ether the media you are using or your laser is dead/dying. 2 it could be a bad burn or a deteriorated disc 3 it could be the original iso that had the problem if its the only game giving you a problem burn it again on good media and make sure its -R (ps2 doesn't like +R)
I think my laser is dying, but I didn't have this problem yesterday. My ISO is fine(I burned it for friends and it worked fine with them) my media is fine too, cd fine but I Still have a problem
get a HDD (If it's available in your area) but you still need boot from your laser before you can play the games on HDD. I'm not sure I guess what I'm saying is already obsolete If you are using a DVD media for your PS2/PS3 always stick with the Sony brand.
It's, as Loony so wisely said, a side effect of using Swap Magic. From what I know, Swap Magic absolutely rapes your laser. Sorry mate, Although you can pick one up for around AUD$100.
