I wanted to demo the Lennus 2 translation patch that was released a few months ago so I downloaded the patch file, then whilst I was about to download the Lennus 2 ROM itself I couldn't get any downloads to start on both Mirrors, the North American & European mirrors. What I do get is the white page containing the HTTP 403 Forbidden error page as opposed to the usual download window that usually pops up. I sually get this when there's a server downtime, do we have one about now?
That happens when an IP tries to open too many connections, so chances are if you're behind a proxy that someone is already downloading. This could be an ISP proxy even.
I'm not behind a Proxy server boss & I seem to have found a new problem: Doing any kind of ROM title search yields this screen: Also, I noticed that if I do click on a specific ROM & go to the ROM Download page, it says there that premium member downloads are ready, I'm pretty sure that it used to say just regular member downloads ready. I tried to download using firefox & instead of the 403 error page, I got a blank page saying that the key to download this file is found on romulation.net.
Yeah the table had become corrupted, it's been repaired now. And the premium member download is because you became a mod, they get premium downloads.
Is that so? Well I don't do many downloads these days anyway. About the download access problem, I tried going to other places for downloads to test if I would get the errors. Clicking on a download link to see if I can start a download session & aborting when the download window pops up. Links to file hosting sites such as Megaupload, rapidshare & filefront works fine. I still can't access any downloads as of late.Something else might be the cause of the problem. EDIT yet again: I'm sorry if I might be sounding pretty annoying & insistent right about now for editing this yet again. So just a few minutes ago, I made another experiment, if my IP was the cause of the problem then this experiment would have failed, but it didn't. What I did was make another account, yes I know making multiple accounts is against the rules, but I had to for this experiment. I first asked if I could use my mom's e-mail account to make a new romulation account, after getting her approval I made a dummy account "alphaflight" (seph &/or loony you can delete the account now if you want, I won't be using it) . After successfully creating & validating my account, I initiated a download session & lo & behold, I was able to start a download session! I think there's something wrong with my real account.

It's fixed now loony, seph PMed me several hours ago informing me that he had to change something on my account. By the way, which account were talking about being banned, this one, the one I'm using or the dummy account I made? Anyway as I said that dummy account was just for a test so it's fine if you guys lock it up now. If you were talking about this account being banned, would I have been hacked or something ???
Well, the fact that you're posting with that account right now would probably indicate that it wasn't the one that's banned.
I asked because what could have happened was this account got banned on the Download server but not on the forum, ofcourse that's just a theory because I read from past ban discussion threads that both forum & Download server accounts are one & the same or are connected in a way.
reporting a problem isn't troubling us, seriously. We need people to report problems they encounter so we can fix them. Seph has told me that the next version of RomUlation has been changed to prevent your problem happening again.
