I want to use something in my signature. It screwed up because the converter was crap. Is there any good converter that will let me convert to SMF code, since the HTML is over 400 characters?

    Thanks for answers.

I would doubt it. HTML has far more tags than bbcode, which is very limited for a reason.

You can expand BBCode in Subs.php of SMF 2.0.

    this statement is irrelevant.

    You said:
So I told you how to make it less limited.

I know fine well how to make it less limited. Doing so would defeat the very reason it is limited.

    What reason is that?

Which is what I'm wondering as well since there isn't any reason.

safety. allowing HTML could do a lot of damage, people using script tags or the like. Additionally, bbcode is much simpler, not everyone is able to learn HTML.

Then add a few tags that may not be used?

there's hundreds of html tags and most of them are either unnecessary or possible to abuse.
