using a proxy to get apps that aren't available in your country won't work if that's what you're thinking.

I think you did get confused. I need wifi any wifi on my phone to access the market which is like itunes for android to dl this app that allows me to install games or other apps that i donwloaded via internet and transfered to my phone. I wanna know if there was any other way to put apps on my phone with out appmonster or astro of if there was another way to get appmonster or astro without market. The proxy thing was from another thread and about internet settings of my phone.

isnt there like an app store for pc and then sync your htc with your computer? or does it have to be directly through the phone. because this can be done with blackberry and iphone

I know right. I tried checking it out and doing it but it doesn't seem to work, you can only get it through the phone :|

ny phone has the palm app catalogue (official), preware (unofficial) on the phone, and then on PC I have a program called webos quick install. Preware and WQI do more or less the same thing, preware is easier to use because you just choose the package from a list rather than having to find and download it manually. but preware requires wifi whereas WQI just requires internet of some description, or a PC that already has the ipk files you want to install.
