Afternoon peeps (I'm in the UK it's afternoon here

My name is Skye, I'm 25 and have a little boy and I love anything techinical/electrical I can use to entertain myself with.

I have no taught experience on the use of emulators or roms/isos or such like, only know from trial and error which I love!
I love gaming and have been gaming since the age of 5 thanks to my fathers love of gaming also.
My friends consider me to be a geek but I love the fact I can hide it so well and sit at home on my lappy figuring out what I can do to 'mod' it to make it run faster or entertain me better.
I have 4 xbox 360 due to the fact 3 have suffered the ring of death :*(
I also have a dreamcast, playstation 1, nintendo 64 and my beloved lappy.
Currently I'm playing LFD2 on my xbox and trying to update my graphics drivers for my lappy but its being difficult grrr >_<

I self taught myself on many things, I mostly come here to share what I know, and to learn (some parts of emulation I'm still learning...partly because I avoid using emulators unless it's a dencent snes emulator on my psp )

How powerful is your laptop...while mine can play resident evil 5 at 40fps...everything has to be turned off for that XD

Yes 3 rings of death My first xbox was modded so I couldn't send it back, the second one run over the warranty and the 3rd is being 'fixed' so I got a new one with extended warranty
My lappy is a sony vaio with intel core duo CPU at 2.53GHz, NVDIA GeForce 9600M GT and 4GB ram, it can generally run most games quite well. I'm currently playing GTA 4 on it with most of the settings on full and suffering no slow frame rates I'm not too sure how I can check what the actual FPS are while running GTA 4 but its sweet and smooth looking I used to build custom PC's but due to lack of space I had to settle for a high-end lappy instead. I wanted an alienware one but for the price of their machines and the price of this one it was a win for the sony side

 

Ah I see, I used a benchmark to test, built into most capcom games these days.
Your laptop sounds awsome, but does it have a blue ray drive
The ones of your spec usually lack it, its why i got mine,i may post specs next time, ps3 typing sucks : (
