I recently downloaded Knockout Kings 2001 (PSx) and the files it gave me were an MDF file and a MDS file.

How do I emulate these? ePSXe 152 doesnt reconize it, and I doubt 170 is any better.... ???
(besides, I also dont want to get it yet... too lazy.... :p)

    Thanks!

EDIT: youre right, they are MDF/S

I still dont know how to use them.

I tried playing them through, and it looked like all the correct command lines, but the screen just stayed black

How are you trying to run it? using mounted program, or through the ISO?
ePSXe recognize almost all cd image types format, including mds/mdf.

If you get black screen after loading the game, try using different CD/graphic plugins as well.

Try using 1.7.0, as well using different type of CD/graphic plugins.

mdf/mds are alcohol 120% files, you may need to mount them on a virtual drive and use the run cd option. daemon tools and both versions of alcohol can mount them (alcohol 53% is a cut down version of 120% but its free).

Try psxfin v1.13 emulator , no plugins needed just bios and memcards

    http://psxemulator.gazaxian.com/

d3dx9_26.dll mabe need to be in the main folder of the emulator

mdf/mds/cue files for games like ridge racer and tomb raider 1/2 keep the audio tracks in game play, also helps crashing

they are three files as one , but cue is not realy needed

    download virtual clone drive (google)

then right click the biggest size file. and choose mount (your mdf/s files)

then on your Emulator go to "insert CD drive"

browse to "my computer" and click on the virtual clone drive

this will fix your issue :)

Mabe its best to turn the game into a .ccd / .cue image with cloneCD

    http://www.mediafire.com/?rydzzc4wwln

    Psxfin v1.13 can run them

ePSXe 1.7.0 can use MDF/S files without using a virtual drive.

Your freezing issue is more than likely a plugin issue, probably your Graphics plugin. What plugins are you using, what are their settings, and what are some basic specs of your PC (Processor, RAM, Video Card, Operating System).
