Trimming roms with a program I coded called xTrim is very easy.

    Here's how to do it:
    1. Download xTrim from http://www.xtrim.romulation.net
    2. Run xTrim and fill in the two required fields - trim.exe location and output directory
    3. Select the nds rom to be trimmed.
    4. Press trim.

It's that easy. Hope you like xTrim :)

Does x trim just make the file smaller?

Yes xtrim makes the file smaller so that you can fit more ROMs on your memory card.

Hi guys newbie here so please bear with me ...
I understand the idea of trimming, and I need too cause I'm packing that little 1 gig flashrom ...

My trimmer is designed to run in Windows (XP and Vista) but can also run in Linux with the right packages. If you really wanted to run it on a Mac you'd have to use Virtual PC. The disadvantages are that it will run REALLY slowly and that you might have problems getting the ROM files in and out of your virtual machine. Sadly there isn't support for the VB.NET coding language in OSX. I might consider rewriting my program in something more universal one day, but at the moment adding features is the main focus. Hope that helps.

Here's a link to a Mac trimmer I've heard of, I'm not sure if it works sorry. Link.
