How to transfer music from my iPod Nano to my PC?

Since I have a new phone, I don't mind using it as a source for my music, and possibly selling my Nano away (Even after all these years, my case has made my nano look as good as it was before taking it out of the box.) for a nice sum of cash. I have loads of music, hundreds, possibly in the thousands of songs from different genres. I don't feel like spending hours and days redownloading all the music again. Is there any way to tweak iTunes to transfer music from my device to my PC, in .mp3 format?

    Will this work?

Well, there are two options. The first is that thing you linked, it looks more efficient than the second method that I'm going to tell you.

If you're too lazy to download anything, there is a way to manually get your music files from your iPod, but in doing so, you're going to get filenames like ABFY.mp3 or something similar, though most of the filenames will come out right when you play them in Winamp/iTunes/WMP.

First of, you need to turn on the option to see your Hidden Files/Folder, because the files you need are in a hidden folder.

Mount your iPod, it should appear in "My Computer"

The highlighted thing is my iPod, it's almost always (your name)'s iPod

Open the folder named "iPod_Control", that folder should be hidden

After you open that folder, copy all the files in the Music folder. Inside of it are folders named F00, F01, F02 and so forth. Note that almost of all the names of the files are ADHE.mp3 or something similar, mostly 4 letter files.

And that's about it for the long and tedious second option. Do either one at your own discretion.
