So basically, that's my problem. I want to use cheat codes in some of the undubbed games I've got but it seems that the undubbed versions have a different game id (not sure if this is the case, it's just my assumptions based on the fact that those are hacked roms) than the regular game, so the cheat database I have (the latest usercheat.dat from gbatemp) won't detect it or does not have any cheats for it. So what I want to know is, is there any way for me to input cheats for the game into the database manually?; Do I have to fix the rom itself so that it will be able to draw the cheats from the cheat database?; or should I just give up because there is no way for me to put cheats in hacked roms? The games I'm looking for cheats for are: - Suikoden Tierkries - Valkyrie Profile - Rondo of Swords (And probably more undubbed roms to come, these are just the ones I'm playing seriously) All of those are undubbed roms that I got from this thread: http://forum.romulation.net/index.php?topic=38621.msg701141#msg701141 Any help at all will be greatly appreciated. But if I do that then the cheats will only show up for that one specific undubbed version right? Well, it's not really a big deal for me I just want to be sure. Also, how can I find out a hacked game's id?
not really. you can copy paste the game with cheats in r4cce and change the game id. to change the game id, simply use r4cce and press [...] button and choose the game you want there. dont know if i made myself clear
