can anyone give me a tutorial on how to use cheats for games in my ds fire link card? I'm talking about action replay cheats or something similar. Thanks for any help.

Is there some sort of cheat file amongst your firmware files? Like a .xml file.

Nope, I'm also wondering If i want to use AC or gameshark do i just need the file or the actual device?

Do you know if DS Link supports AR codes? No, you only need to edit a cheat file, you don't need the actual device.

Well, if there's a file that provides "seeable" text, not random hex and stuff, that could be the cheat database file.

other than the nds roms, theres a xmenu.dat, 3 appfix files , and a notepad config file. (notepad icon with a gear next to it). Could there be a cheat in one of those?

Try opening them with Notepad. See if there's any sort of resemblance. If not, I don't think it does support AR codes in games. Or you can try emailing the DS Fire Link team about it.
