how to put a moving avatar?

    hi guys
    i was thinking of putting an avatar that moves but a friend told me you need specific softwares and they are hard to use i.e to capture every frame etc etc so i thought i should create a threadd and ask you guys to how to put a moving avatar and if i need a software which one and where to get it and please also give a tutorial for it.

    I have told him to use Photoscape but I think there are better software than the one I've suggested.. ;D

    well....if your planing to use on from a film ect...i suggest you use image ready ect and use the fames there...thats the only advice i can give...sorry :(

    use adobe illustrator... it's like photoshop but lets you create frames

    also, the file has to be saved as a .gif to be animated

    I use Unfreez to create simple GIFs. : )
    It's a small, free and easy to use program. Only problem is that your options are kind of limited and all of the frames have to gifs.

    When i need to make animated avatars, siggy's ect. I make each frame in my image editing program then put it all together in Macromedia Flash 8 Pro and save as a gif.

    Hi.Try to use Video Avatar.It's tool can create animated avatar.There you can choose a video formats, and make the gif.It's really good program.Try. ;D

    or you could just make frames in gimp save as gif and then choose animated gif, instead of downloading all these "Underground" (As i like to call them) softwares, also works with photoshop
