How to play ROM's

Hello, as you can see from my account i am new to this forums, i downloaded a rom which i liked a lot but i don't know how to open it. I never played rom games, this is my first time, i searched the site and the forum but i didn't find any post which mentions any rom players.
Can you suggest me any?

p.s i hope i didn't post to a tottaly wrong place.

Which ROM have you downloaded? A NDS or GBA etc. ROM? You'll probably need to extract it as well, go see the Winrar tutorial in the Tutorials section of the Forums.

 

Then try to emulate it on an emulator.

 

i downloaded Spinmaster and i used mame and it's so cool!
