How do i open a rom file? What i mean is, i am korean and i want to try and open up maplestory ds so that i can look at the script and translate it myself. is there a way?
yeah there is a way but its not very straightforward. Extracting the rom contents is one thing, but reading and editing the files inside it is a different thing entirely.

You need to study up on ROM Hacking then. You need to go either to romhacking.net or gbatemp. Once on either site you have to go search on their documentations section to find articles that could help you out. I'm just going to warn you though to NOT even try & ask for help on RHDN's forums for tips & guides as the people there are all elitist dickheads They'll just shove several documentation threads at you, most of which are not helpful at all. So yeah, good luck with your "project", I just hope you know what you're getting yourself into.
