how to get wood r4 or an equivalant nds rom flashcart working on my r4?

    hey,
    today i tried using the latest wood r4 software (1.27) on my r4 flash cart,
    the reason it didnt work is because it says you need to replace your _DS_MENU.DAT file with theirs,
    when i do this, the r4 card wont load up and if i dont put it in, the wood r4 sofware wont work :(,
    so is there a way to get around this or is there another type of r4 emulator that would work the same way wood r4 does?

    i think its r4 sdhc (or whatever its called)
    i play it on my original nds if that helps
    i also see you can get a TTMenu/YSMenu for r4 flash carts
    so either of the 2 would suffice
