Hey guys,I want to know how shall I forward my TCP and UDP port?I have been trying to connect to an online friend of mine to play games with him but I simply can't connect to him as my port is not forward. Can someone please guide me?I look at portforward.com but I don't understand anything that it says.It doesn't even have the modem guide I need.My Ethernet or network is something like 2wire151 and I use singnet.Thanks...

Ok, I have no idea how to do this, however, to play ds games online thru my router I didn't need to do this...what exactly do you intend on playing?

What what is your router/equipment, etc...

(sorry-most user's here ask ds questions so I am being general)

I don't really use a router.I connect through the Internet from my Laptop to my Ethernet direct cable.I use a Mio Box 2WIRE151 Ethernet to connect to my Laptop and I intend to play Touhou 10.5(Scarlet Weather Rhapsody) and Touhou 12.3(Unthinkable Natural Law). The port number is 10800.

..and what online gaming you intend to use?

    Ds-psp-or pc games?

(like I said-most users ask towards ds games-if not about ds then I have no idea, and in that case someone might come by soon enough)

It's not complicated at all once you understand what it does.

Say someone wants to connect to your external IP address on port 12345. The farthest that information will go from the Internet is the router because it doesn't know what computer in your LAN to send that information to. Say the computer in your LAN you want to receive that data is 192.168.0.100. Port forwarding tells your router to forward packets on port 12345 to the computer 192.168.0.100.

There is a whole host of processes to be done before it happens, router, firewalls, resetting ip addys.Im just saying that I also read the portforwarding blog and couldnt manage it.

Yeah me too.I don't even think portforward.com will answer our questions.Even if it does,it's too hard to find the way to do it as all it does is telling you what is port-forawrding and all.Any solutions on how to forward my port yet?
