how to fix an r4

This is for when you put the r4 in the ds and it says it Theres is no ds card inserted.

1. unscrew the tiny screw in to the back

2. and carefully take the casing apart

3. find a piece of kitchen paper and measure it is the size r4 horizontally maybe a little less

4. cut a long strip of the paper

5. start folding it kind of like a fan 2 or 3 or maybe 4 folds is fine

6. cut the rest off

7.place it the bottom of the r4 and put together the casing and put the screw back in

8. if the flash cart doesnt fit in the ds reapeat step 5 and make it smaller


and thats it

 

Usually happens after "wear and tear" for a few months. It happens occasionally to me. Some pictures would be good.

 

Is this similar to the SuperCard DSone fix posted in the Tutorial section? I know they are different cards, but they both seem to be fixing a potential shorting issue by providing paper insulation.

 

Yes. Most flashcarts are really similar.
