I am trying to download some of the big 3DS roms from RomUlation. I am just wondering how to greatly speed up the downloads.

    Any help is appreciated.

for a start, we don't host 3ds roms, so you aren't downloading them from us. Secondly, you aren't providing nearly enough information.

Where are you actually downloading from? What country do you live in? do you live in a rural or urban area? is it a major city? what speed is your internet connection? what type of connection do you have? (cable/dsl/isdn/dial up/satellite/mobile) what speed are you paying for? what speed is the download achieving? are you using wireless?

I doubt your internet connection speed is 100mbit, thats more likely the speed between your computer and your modem/router.

I need the information I asked for.

Also he should update his browser and anti virus software. It can contain speed fixes.

I am not talking about the download itself but about how fast the browser is able to connect to the server. Or if the browser supports the latest version of flash (because eg MediaFire is based on flash)

those will have zero effect on download speed.

If there are too many users at your location, then it would be really difficult.

Because transferring data across copper wires causes too much traffic.

    that depends on the infrastructure.

    Ok. Just some extra info.

I am downloading from Melbourne, Australia. It is one of the biggest cities in Australia.
I live in a suburban area.
How do I find my speed connection?
I am on cable using the main computer in my house. I am not on wireless.

It can depend on what you are download and where it is from.

    speedtest.net is a good start.

Australia as a nation has quite a poor connection to the rest of the world, there isnt a whole lot of bandwidth going to the country.
