ok so I found out that there is no way to get what I need through my laptop and that I need to be connected to the internet via my phone. But i dont have a router since I only have one computer. I read somewhere I can use my laptop to make a router so i can connect to the internet via my phone. I tried that using Connectify and It doesnt work for me. Is there a better thing to use? some help would be nice thanks
No there really isn't a way to be honest. If you were looking to try and share that internet connection from the laptop to another PC or laptop, I'd have an answer for you.
Yes, because you'd be able to set up an ad-hoc network if you wanted to connect another laptop to the internet. Or if you had a crossover cable you could also use that to connect either a laptop/PC to the internet from your current laptop. But no phone has an ethernet port. And no phone (To my knowledge) will connect to the net using an ad-hoc network provided by a laptop.
Ohhhh :| I was trying stuff out on youtube and they say it works like any other wifi router but I guess it doesn't work. Tried some and didnt work :| Thanks for the help anyways
