How to catch Latios?

Latios is the roaming Pokemon in SoulSilver (I already have Latias). My friend says it's harder than heck, and when HE says that, it's got to be worse than Entei (who I've pretty much given up on). How do I do it without the constant hassle of chasing it around?

What i did on Pokemon Diamond was i went to one of the routes the wandering pokemon went to, and i kept going back and fourth between the route the pokemon went on and whatever route was next to it, in this case a town, eventually the pokemon comes back to the route, you jump in the grass and fight it.

    This is SoulSilver, not D/P.

I realize that, i was gonna put, "it will probably work the same in SS/HG"

Don't try to go after them just go through the story (if you haven't beaten the game yet) and you will get it sooner or later. Chasing after entei was a pain so i left it but found it randomly and caught it.

get a wobbuffet lv30 or higher.
latios wont be able to escape
    fighting a wobbuffet. attack with
mirror coat and to damage latios.
    heal wobbuffet before it faints.
you should have one or two more
    wobbuffet if the first faints.
    never change your pokemon, latios
    will flee unimportant which pokemon
    you send in (even wobbuffet).
if you do this you wont have problems
    with catching latios.

It can run if your wobbuffet doesn't have shadow tag.

I think a Pokemon with High speed and Mean Look works too

Yep, you should make sure that your Wobuffet has Shadow Tag.

My preferred method of hunting the wandering monsters is to first encounter them with a lead Pokemon that has Spore to put them to sleep, after which they run of course. Then I hunt them down with a Wobuffet with Shadow Tag in the lead so they can't escape. I also prefer to hunt for the wandering monsters at night so I can use the Dusk Ball (Its catch percentage is better than the Ultra Ball's). So when I encounter them it's nighttime and they're asleep, which gives me 2 to 4 free throws of a Dusk Ball to see if I'm lucky enough to catch them without hitting them even once.

Which begs the question. How the fuck do they move around the world asleep?

because they can. That part of the game is messed up. On HG SS if your first party pokemon is sleeping how does it still walk with you?

I never spent too much time on HGSS, so I haven't gotten sleep before.
But damn, that must be weird.
