I was just wondering how do you become a moderator or administrator?

And who do you get permission from?

That is a question that's never to be asked by regular members.

Almost all the forum sites I go to, it's not good to ask on how to become a Mod.

I think this one too is against it.

Being a moderator and/or an administrator contains several implications therein that one must be not only be in acceptance of their terms, but understanding of what said implications even are before being explained to a potential moderator and/or administrator.

To take and analyze merely one of the many implications manifested in the job description of a moderator and/or administrator: One must know the innerworkings of one's frequented website especially the person(s) involved in creating and maintaining it. Also, one, being yourself in this case, requires the resourcefulness and quick thinking of one of the most basic of collegiate degree courses: Turf Management; but I digress.

Asking "how" to become a moderator and/or an administrator and "where" to get permission to become one is a sure signal that one (you) are not in any respect capable of handling a position of such regality and majesty. It is within this very act that one (you) proves their unworth, so to speak, in the facilitations of observation and resourcefulness.

...any short serious answers here?(no offence-hard to understand angel ???)

Basically, from what I seen from a few mods, they are just like us-but for some reason trusted in keeping us in line, so they must have some reason...

Lol, Reidner, I like his stlye-adds a smile to my face seeing him lay the smack down-to loony-a worthy second in command...

My guess-if you want a quick shot to being a mod-just be like loony-and keep on the good list-and prehaps you might get your shot-I wouldn't mind being a mod, but after my short stint at being an admin of my own site...it's ALOT of work :(

Be awesome. Short enough for you? No? Then, how about this:
    - Be a recognised and valued member of the community
    - Know your stuff
    - Demonstrate responsibility, resourcefulness and other desired mod traits

Now that is an answer :)

I guess once I stop making myself a target and have more responsiblity, prehaps I may be worth it :)

So basicly? An Admin would be someone like Seph,
And mods are like Reider and stuff?

Usually, they don't promote anyone unless it's necessary too. Even if you're a worthy candidate, don't get your hopes up.

    Severely off:
There are a lot of forums outside Romulation, that sometimes I compare the behavior of members and mods and stuff.
