My son has a nintendo DS with the R4.
There are a couple of games that are only available (for download) in the older gameboy format. (Land before time, The Polar express, etc)
Is there a way for these gameboy games to be played on the DS via the R4?
I think I have tried everything and I can't get it to work.

    Thanks in advance

You cannot do that without buying extra equipment. You need a slot 2 flash cart. (slot 2 is the slot for GBA carts and slot 1 the one for DS carts)

    Nope...

But (not sure if r4 has this ability) if you have an ezy 3 in 1 flash card (gba slot device-acts as rumble ram and gba support) you could...

Really, what it does, is boot the data from the ds card (r4) and send to gba card (ezy 3 in 1).

I know acekard works...but not sure if r4 could, prehaps there is a program that can make it work.

Though those games you mentioned might be better on ds if a ds version is avaible, I have an alternate suggestion....get a gba emulator for pc.

BUT wait for more users to spot this-it may be able to work-just wait and see :)

So it looks like I need to buy a slot 2 flash cart....
Any suggestions on where to get this?

Ebay is one suggestion, another is to just type that into google and find some retailers...

If you were in aus I would give you the name of a mod shop that sells this card.

Judgeing by the game titles based on a movie from last year-he needs the slot 2 device :)

He didn't mention movies from last year... there is a good chance one or both of them is on Gameboy Color, in that case you should use a homebrew called Lameboy DS.

    Both are GBA games :)
