Haha just post how long you thing it'll be until the 3DS is cracked!!
My guess: 3 months

 

Actually right after you buy your 3DS YOU CAN crack it already.... just slam it on the floor & BAM! you have a cracked 3DS!

i would say 2 to 3 years...

 

one year, they just cracked the DSi, the 3DS can run on the DSi mode for what i've heard, they can use that exploit, i doubt nintendo had any chance to fix it

 

The 3DS is a totally different system though.

 

Wtf?! I made one post that had hundreds of "ha"'s here, and it got deleted. I figgered cuz it was soo long. Then I did one that just had a quote and then "Haha" in it. Why the heck would that one disappear?!

I'm 100% sure the first one was there; I was able to reload this thread from the topic, and it was there. I just had quoted what Cahos Rahne Veloza said, then laughed at it for quite a long string, enough for a scroll bar.
As for not seeing the second one, I was an idiot. I scrolled up like right after my last post, and lo and behold, there it was. Derp award please!!

 

I think CFW will be more prominent in this system.

Flash carts cost a lot to manufacture and sell, cracking pre-existing stuff to run things they want costs next to nothing.

But Flash carts get a lot of money back...

Meh.

3-4 weeks for CFW or something like it.

3 months for a flash cart.

 

My guess is 469 days until we get playable 3DS ROMs and homebrew.

2 days till Japan!! Where will the biggest cracking "boom" start: US or JP? This is my first time knowing about cracking an' all that stuff. Like will the biggest part come from Japan or will it only really start picking up in the US?

 

Cracking and hacking will be 100x better in japan. Due to sheer population size and intelligence

 

Their government supports the gaming industry at a higher level though that they do take action with regards to this matter. A few years back, just like with the U.K., flashcarts were banned in Japan & the sale of 'em is considered illegal. So, yeah, Japanese 3DS crackers might not have it that easy.
