    Hello all !!

The reason im writing now is because im very confused about the YS menu, especifically the HOW to update, i hear a lot about th extinfo.dat, infolib.dat and savlib.dat what are they?? what they do??

To update you just copy&paste on the TT menu folder and thats it??

Infolib contains information for the firmware to use that helps speed up loading times for the games updated in it (I think it actually handles more than just that, and MicroSD access in general for those games).
Extinfo contains information for the firmware to bypass anti-piracy in the games updated in it
Savlib contains information on the proper save file sizes for the games updated in it

To update them, you just copy the new ones into the TTMenu folder, and overwrite the old versions that are in there.

One last thing lets say i have the YS menu version (29 september 2009) and i want to update it to the newest that came out, i just copy those files and it will be updated to that version or i have to do something else??

Plus if i take the latest extinfo.dat, infolib.dat and savlib.dat, in the version that i have it will work still??

If you are using R4 orignal then

    http://forum.romulation.net/index.php?topic=27617.msg466427#msg466427

All you have to do is format your microDS chip and start from scratch

Are if you with to copy over infolib.dat extinfo.dat savlib.dat from the TTMenu folder to yours you can do that also!

    Hey Jhon i have a R4 1.18 + YS MENU
How do i mantain the 1.18 and still update the Ys menu 1.17a12 cuz i thought i just copy&paste the TT menu folder but in my sd there are other files related to Ys menu like some TT extract, TT menu.dat, YS menu.nds and so on. What im suposed to do??

Its just curiosity, im gonna copy&paste only the extinfo.dat, infolib.dat and savlib.dat of your updated YSmenu 1.17a12 to my 1.17a09 in the TT menu folder. And that leads me to another good point, i patched Yu-gi-oh 2010 5D reverse of arcadia (J), pokemon soul silver, will they still work when i change those three .dat files???

The games on the quote list will work , apart from the pokeman SS and HG as they still need to be patched, but you already patched them , so they should still work

Keep your kernal v1.18 as is, The boot of ysmenu.nds will use the TTMenu folder , there for anythink inside of the TTmenu folder can be replace with new files, and infolib.dat extinfo.dat , savlib.dat are the main files to be replaced

    exinfo.dat , Anti-Piracy fixes in games
infolib.dat , speedup loading times of games , will also boot some
    savlib.dat , saves certin game's files sizes

The ysmenu is already made and ready to use in my link abouth ^
