To play ISO's, do I just need to buy Pandora's Battery and switch the batteries? I have no clue on how to do this, someone please give me a full explanation!
From my understanding, you use the pandora battery to flash your PSP so you can install a custom firmware. After that, you can throw away the pandora battery or do whatever you want with it, as you will only use your regular battery from now on. The firmware allows you to use some legally sketchy emulators and roms on your PSP through a memory stick that is inserted into the PSP. If this is not what you are looking for, then you can try googling "Flashing PSP" or "Pandora PSP" or whatever you want. miros
The old PSP models had a built in Service Mode that gave users direct access to the firmware files. This service mode was used by Sony to repair damaged firmware files on bricked PSPs. The service mode was accessed using a special "TOOL" battery. This is what people call the Pandora Battery. When inserted into your PSP, the TOOL battery causes it to boot up into Service mode, instead of loading the normal firmware. Users modified the real firmware files, and created custom firmware from them. They then used the service mode to install their custom firmware, rather than the official firmware. How to do it: Get a program that will create a "Magic Memory Stick" (A memory stick with the Custom Firmware install files) Insert the Magic Memory Stick into your PSP. Insert your TOOL battery into your PSP. Your PSP will power up and then you just follow the instructions. Once everything is finished, you just deleted all the files off your Magic Memory Stick and use your Normal battery.
And after you do that, can you just put PSP roms on the memory stick and play them? Also, if you only need to use the Pandora's Battery once, should it be easy to find second-hand ones?
After you do all that, you just have to put the ROMs, emulators, etc on the memory stick and play them. As for the battery, I would just save your self the hassle and buy a new one. miros
I held onto my Pandora Battery, since I can use it again if anything bad happens to my PSP. And I can modify my friends PSPs as well.
Why? You can play SNES, NES, Genesis, Gameboy, etc games on it. It's the least amount of retardation.
Hehehe....retardation....funny word lols. So all I need to buy to be able to play psp roms is a Pandora's Battery? Also, could someone please gimme a step by step guide on all this buying-and-installing shit??? I'm kinda confused.
