How do you think is the most effective way to stop war?

recently i watched Anime Kino no Tabi. the solution in that episode is by using third party to release the urge to kill.
two great nation stop their war, but using a village for the purpose of a competition. the nation which kill more villager, won the 'War'. the excuse is "sacrifice is needed for the greater goods"

 

Kill everyone so no one will ever be at war again.

 

use a gundam to attack all army factions good or bad to stop the fighting

 

It's in human nature to maim each other. If you want humans to stop warring suck the humanity out of them.

 

Promote logic and reason, and maybe one day we will rise above violence as a way to solving our problems and differences.

If you meant physically stopping a war asap, then you could either nuke one of the countries or blockade their resources until they surrender.

 

Champion versus champion. thats the problem today, we dont have champions to battle champions. Maybe if we put that into practise again, then we would be saving lives, properties and the future all together.

Were is Achiles today? Were is Hector? To be honest, the Olympics are todays Champion versus Champion but its a sport. We should put it along war. And it should be to the death.

 

There is no way because war is in our nature.

 

all the champions today are earning millions boxing or MMA, there will never be a time again where great warriors can earn a name for themselves outside sport.
Im up for your idea though, i prefer that to getting blown up by a roadside bomb that some coward has hid and i never get to rip his face off

but seriously now, i think the best way to stop a war is by deterrents.
If you know the entire globe is gonna turn on you if you step outta line then you wouldnt do it.
what is needed is a sort of global treaty which everyone signs and if something happens to them, everyone else comes to their aid.
of course this will never happen because of all the political, legal and financial bullshit.
Some country will just find a legal loophole to invade someone else and others wont help because it costs them money and they wont get anything in return for helping

 

I can think of three ways:
1) Genetically modify humans to restrict/remove their desire for power/domination.
2) Exterminate the human race.
3) Conquer the world and implant chips ensuring obedience to the state in all citizens.

 

well, to stop war BETWEEN human, we can invite aliens to invade earth. therefore, America, Russia, China, etcetera can unite to fight aliens.

 

That could work, or we just blow up the earth while we are still on it.

After that war we'd go back to fighting each other for scraps.

 

most effective way to stop war? nuke the enemy, there wont be any war without an opponent.

1. i dont know anything about WW1 (it is the one with Nazi's world domination?)
2. they dont have or didnt use nuke til WW2 (US nuke Japan)

Oh dear. WW1 had similar countries in the war and chemical weapons were used. The Nazi party was not in power (or even conceived iirc). At the end of WW1, Germany surrendered. England and her allies then put some harsh sanctions on Germany which directly led to WW2. WW1 was at the time called the War to end all Wars because of the horrific loss of life and atrocities committed by both sides during the war.
