I've seen you guys do it especially on the funny IRC memories thread, but how do you do it? That is what's the BB Code you use to qoute stuff outside the forum? It'd definitely be handy especially for referencing some text I might find elsewhere.
or Code: hi pretty much just have the word quote or code in the [ and ] of course with the end tag starting with a /.
If you hit the little Speech Bubble in the toolbar when you are writing your reply it will automatically put the code for the quote for you too.
here we go, i just wrote something like [_quote=nowhere]testing[_/quote] without the underscores in front of the word 'quote' of course and replace 'nowhere' with wherever you wanted your text to come from
Well thank you guys for the answers, so let me just summarize: 1. As anand & rush said, just "code" or "qoute" set in [ ]'s & TirithRR's neat tip either one of the two buttons on the reply page menu bar, the one with # for code or the thought bubble icon for qoute. 2. Putting the source url for the qoute like this [qoute= "source here"] 3. Then copy & pasting the text content in between the tags, then that's basically it, did I get it right? Now can I follow up with what's the distinction between "code" & "qoute"?
Plus you can scroll down with code so it's not too long, try quoting Edrick's posts from the Dissidia topic with code, you can scroll down that way
Aw, that means I won't be able to fully utilize the code tags since I have no knowledge of HTML. Oh well, atleast I can still use the qoute tags, I'm fine with that
