How do you patch a file?

    This might sound dumb but when you get a game and a patch for that game (like on dragon quest 5, a fix is included in the zip file), how do you patch the fix to the gam?

    What kind of file is the patch? Is this the translation?

    its the patch that gets you past certain anti-piracies in certain games, like the ship scene in Dragon Quest 5.

    Like I said, what kind of file is the 'patch' (extension etc.) ? If you own a flashcart, simply update your cheat database from http://cheats.gbatemp.net, if emulator, find the Cheat Code and input and enable.

    Well, do you have a flashcart? If so, name it.

    Yes. That wouldn't have a supported database, so you're probably going to have to patch the ROM with the Action Replay code. Search for DSATM.
