I'm just curious to know how you actually "dump" a ds game, do you need a special cartridge reader and software, and does it take long to process? wondered if you need top spec PC.
would I be able to get stuff to dump ds games, or is it only available to a select few? if so, where can i get the kit from? ???

There is a topic on gbatemp that explains all this, unfortunately id not have a link for you. And no, you don't need special equipment afaik

There are several ways...the popular just needs a router and whatever flash cart you use.

I use a sister app, that boot's from the slot 2 card inserted.

    Look this up

    "rudolph's ds dumpers"

Or "ezy 3 in one ds dumper"

It's made by this dude called rudolph...

There is a few, 3 I know are wifi, slot 2 or ezy 3 in one (which I use-it sends data from the game inserted after swapping the flash cart and back to the slot 2...then back to the flash cart, depending on the game size it could take awhile)

You don't need a pc, however I'd suggest a second sd card, I lost one during a failed dump of gta china town wars, I thought it failed because it wouldn't start (turns out my acekard's firmware couldn't read it on the outdated firmware) so I tried again...no idea how but it got corrupted and the card was destroyed.

    Uh oh...

I just read the dsi isn't compatible with these...

Even the wifi version-must have been blocked as it's the only way to dump games on a dsi, if you have an older ds I'd do it on there.
