How do I update my R4 Kernel/firmware?

    Im no good at computers and I really wanna play sum games that need an upgraded firmware. I downloaded the kernel thing but I dont know wut to do. Help?

    Just extract all files from the archive into your microsd or if you want to keep the old firmware,just copy all files from your microsd to your HD,then format your microsd,extract all files from the latest firmware archive,copy all game and then have fun ;-)

    You don't need to put all your files on your pc and formatt. I didn't and it worked fine. All you need to do is go to the official r4 site and download the latest kernel. Then unzip all the files in the archive into your MicroSD's root folder. Then it should ask you if you want to overwrite since the files (doesn't matter which kernel) have the same name. Click yes to all and voila your r4 should be updated. Do this each time.
