How do I patch a game?

I'm having issues with The Incredible Hulk and Carnival games so I'd like to try what 777vegas has suggested - I've never patched a game before. I'm stuck on the arm7 part, here's part of the instructions I'm following:

Open DSLazy which is in the DSLazy folder..

Click the ... button and browse for your Incredible_Hulk.nds file.. Click OK

Click on NDS UNPACK and that will bring up a folder..

Next, we have to copy the arm7.bin file into this folder that has popped up.. Replace the one that is already there..

I'm not really sure what to do after the folder has been brought up by NDS UNPACK. I see the arm7.bin file, but I'm not sure what to do next. What am I copying and what am I replacing it with? Basically looking for a step-by-step for that section , and I'll continue with the rest of the instructions for the other steps. Thanks!

 

Please do not hijack threads, I split it for you. Are you using the Arm7 injector GUI version etc? Redownload it from http://www.omgrofl.com/filemgmt/viewcat.php?cid=1, and follow the instructions in the readme.txt file.

 

Hi, I'm not sure where I clicked when I posted, I'm sure I clicked reply - but I 'did' mean to keep my post within the thread I was reading - not create my own. I don't really like that my post turned out to be a thread of its own and it probably doesn't make sense without the other postings, so anyone feel free to delete it (if I can't).

To answer your question, I was following instructions for and downloaded something called: MaxCrassMethod, so I'm not sure about the arm7 info.

 

Then download the Arm7 injector from omgrofl. Also, it's not patching, that's only for rom hacks, translations etc.

 

this is how i got it to work

get the arm7 injector from

unpack the file and in the donor folder i used call of duty world at war

in the paitient folder place the club penguin nds file

double click the fix.bat

hit the Y button

rename the produced fixed.nds to club penguin etc

copy to R4 and play..

When you download the programme arm7_injector
unrar/unzip the file (winrar) you will have a folder called arm7_injector, inside this folder will be 2 folders one called donor and one called and one called patient.

download call of duty world at war rom and unzip this into the donor folder

place the club penguin rom in the patient folder.

double click or run the fix file in the arm7_injector folder.

Hit the Y key when it asks you to.

it will make a file called fixed.nds in the arm7_injector folder, rename this to club penguin.nds and this is the fixed rom copy it to your card and should work
