how do i make fallout new vegas let me use my jetion joystick?

    i have been playing for the last few days fallout new vegas, but today i bougth a jetion controller (model JT-U5541) and i installed the drivers and it's plugged, new vegas allowed me to remap the whole thing, but the one thing i cant do is play with it, how i achieve this? (please remember i am first time PC gamer, since so far all i have ever played was on consoles)

    odd is that the control works with no$gba, but it wont with fallout, any ideas why?
