How do 7z files work?

    I got 7z files in my comp and dunno how to open them nor know what use can that me but know there must be something with it because many sites provide 7z files ... help please?

    you need a program called 7zip. Its free and can easily be found on google.

    try alzip, it can open 30 different archive types, very popular in korea, much better than winzip. can, but is not limited to opening and zip, rar and 7zip.

    WinRAR also opens 7zip...but can't create. But 7zip's free anyway. Google is your friend.

    does 7zip also offer the same features that rar compression have, such as a repair archive or a self-extracting and password feature??

    repair archives no, but the other two yes. 7-zip has higher encryption than winrar too
